Joseph J. Ward P.E., is an accomplished Reliability/Specialty/Logistics Engineer with 24 years of experience. His background includes 4 years in the United States Marine Corps followed by enrollment at North Dakota State University where he obtained a BSIE. Joe has worked on major development projects at General Electric, StorageTek, Sikorsky Aircraft, and BAE Systems. He has been a manager of teams and functional reliability and logistics organizations
Joe has been involved in all aspects of specialty engineering and integrated logistics support. He has performed failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), logistic support analysis, life cycle analysis, and provisioning. He has performed highly accelerated life testing (HALT/HASS), on-going reliability tests (ORT), and reliability growth testing (RGT). Joe has authored test plans and conducted reliability and maintainability demonstrations. He has implemented computer aided software reliability engineering (CASRE) principles and performed defect behavior analysis.
While employed at GE Joe obtained his Professional Engineering (PE) License (NY) and also SOLE certification as a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL). He is a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) and in 2006 Joe became an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Joe is on the steering committee for the MN Reliability Consortium and is a member of ASQ and IEEE.
